Digital Literacy
Megan teaches Digital Literacy courses at the Learning Centre at Place 400. These courses include using word processors (text documents), using spreadsheet software, using presentation software, internet and email knowledge and skills, as well as basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Computers for Beginners
Become familiar with basic computer terminology and navigating a computer. Use computer apps, email, and internet. Get an introduction to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This course is good for people who have little to no computer knowledge or skills, and want to gain digital skills for current or future employment.

Intermediate Computers
Become familiar with intermediate computer skills such as installing programs, customizing Windows, and troubleshooting problems. Learn intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills, and gain basic Excel skills. Get an introduction to cybersecurity. This workshop is good for people who have basic computer knowledge and want to improve their skills.
Thursdays 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Word and PowerPoint
Learn Microsoft Word basic and intermediate skills, including formatting, pictures, text boxes, and tables. Then take that knowledge to the next level with PowerPoint. Learn to create and deliver a presentation. This workshop is good for people who have some basic computer knowledge but want to gain the skills for professional, academic, or creative use.
Wednesdays 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Excel and Data Analytics
Learn the basics of Excel, including data entry, data analysis using pivot tables, charts, and basic formulas. The course ends with a project to analyse specific data and make recommendations based on that data. This workshop is good for people who have some computer knowledge and want to take their skills to the next level.
